Dear Animal Lovers,
we like to thank you very much for all the donations you made to
support the vaccination of the animals in our temple project. We
will now vaccinate all animals within the next days in order to
provide them with the needed protection during the starting
rainy season. In the name of Khlongdogs and all the animals in
the temple please accept our deepest gratitude.
But our care for the animals goes on and the situation in the
temple can only be managed in a reasonable way if the animals in
the temple do not have the chance to reproduce themselves. There
are too many other animals out there who already lead a
miserable live and who need a home in the temple. The castration
will also contribute to a more healthy life of the animals.
We therefore would like to ask for your continuing support. We
already have started with the castration of some animals several
weeks ago and now have to continue with the remaining animals.
But in doing this we also must take care of the animals before
and after the surgery to avoid infections and other side
effects.
The amount we need for the castration of one animals amounts to
approx. 25.- Euro and includes the surgery, the veterinarian and
the drugs for a professional treatment after the surgery. The
castration is planned to begin in June 2008.
Every puppy who is born in the streets of Bangkok or in a temple
will face a severe and usually miserable life.
They will battle for their life every day and will be haunted by
fear, hunger and illnesses. All to often they will then lose
their young lives in a most cruel way.
Every life has a value!
We believe that all animals who are born a stray or who were
dumped from a home have a natural right to return to a dignified
and protected life. We are not discouraged by the fact that
every day new animals are dumped on the streets but try to help
wherever this help is needed most. Although we can not change
the course of life and we can not change the lifespan of a being
but we can make this particular life better during the time that
is given. Every living soul is here for a
reason and has to make his own experience in this world. We can
help to make this a good experience and to fulfill the life of
these poor souls.
